Spotfire How To Tutorials

I am very sad to report that Petro.ai has decommissioned the Data Shop Talk blog, which I wrote on from August 2016 to February 2019. You can try to access these old posts using the Wayback Machine Internet Archive. See steps below.

The Wayback Machine isn’t perfect but try this.
1. Right-click on a link and copy the address.
2. Go to Wayback Machine – https://archive.org/web/
3. Paste in the link
4. Wayback will tell you how many times a given page has been saved – Saved 4 times between October 31, 2020 and June 15, 2021. The dates are hyperlinked. Click on the date and it will take you to the page as it was on that date.

It doesn’t seem to do very well with the pictures though.

  1. Hello,
Thank you for sharing your knowledge on Spotfire. I’ve been using your blog for a while.
I just realized that some of the links don’t work. Would it be possible to check if the articles are still available?
Again, thank you for the articles and kind regards,
    Sahet

    1. You are correct the links don’t work, and that is because the owner of Data Shop Talk took down the entire site. I’ve left the links up so that I can recreate content at some point, but the articles are no longer available. Sorry.

        1. Hi Hans or Julie,
This tutorial has been great for me.
It is so discouraging that the links are not working.

How do you access the saved in the Waybank Machine?

          1. Well, the Wayback Machine isn’t perfect, but try this.
            1. On my Spotfire list of links page, right click on a link and copy the address.

    1. That is because I didn’t own the website that content was posted on, and the owner took it down. At the top of the page, I wrote this…

  2. Hi Thanks I have found everything really helpful.
I have one question, is there a way to use a dynamic date as a filter, by that I mean if I select a date can it change on my calculated columns, on Power BI you can do that on Spotfire I haven’t find how to do that.
    Thanks in advance.
